Tom and the Magic Mushrooms



Tom and Tim go to stay at Grandpa's for the weekend.

They are looking forward to exploring their favourite places near Grandpa's house.

Mum says they have to go to bed early.

Next morning Grandpa takes them looking for mushrooms for Mum to cook for breakfast.

He tells them never to pick or eat anything unless a trusted adult, like a parent or teacher, tells you that it is really SAFE.

"NEVER touch poisonous ones or 'magic mushrooms' ", Grandpa said, "which some older children might think it cool to experiment with----but they can HARM you and make you feel sick and not in control of yourself."

Tom remembers this, but two days later he gets bullied outside school by an older gang, who try to get him to tell them where to find the magic mushrooms.
